Nice upgrade, good color choices too.

Wow, thanks for the great research and information. The pictures were very helpful, too. We have an AF990 on an '03 F250 6.0L and have been considering doing the same thing. I have only begun looking into it, and your posting will save me tons of time and frustration. Any idea on the life cycle of these lights? I will probably just get plenty of spares just in case.
Thanks again!
Agree! That is exactly why I wanted to post this. I searched other postings but all lacked the necessary fidelity to pull the trigger. Hence, my own research to make sure I wasn't mailing something back to China... You, know as I installed these I thought the exact same thing - "I wonder how long they will last?" Nothing in the shipping container or ads even give you an idea so right now I have a few spares hermetically sealed tucked away in the camper because I know one or two will ultimately fail at the most inopportune time

Thanks for the POST - Just curious if your HDTV has ever blanked out on you especially when you are picking up OTA HDTV signal with your outside antenna.
Years back the LED units that had built-in DC REGULATOR circuits would do this to you. I like the round unit idea you have found here that just plugs into the wedge socket.
I ordered high dollar boards back in 2009 that had the DC regulator chips on the boards and they all blanked out my HDTV when I had the LED lights on... I gave them away and got the cheap $4.99 boards from EBAY/CHINA that are still working today...
If you would run a test for me and post the results using the LED lights ON and watching HDTV with your OUTSIDE TV antenna...
My sticky tape keeps coming loose on the ones I have in my OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer..
good price for the Super Bright Cool White T10 Wedge 42-SMD 3528 LED Light bulbs but I think i would try to find the WARM WHITE MODELs verses the COOL WHITE... The BLUISH colors would bother me... (This is just me)
I just noticed the AMAZON sells these for some $22 and says PACK of ten. Curious if that is $22 for each unit or for the PACK OF TEN...
I finally read a DC VOLTAGE rating for 11.5 to 12.5 VDC - now I am curious how these would hold up when the converter/chargers goes to 14.4VDC when charging... If the lot of TEN for $22 is good think I will try a pack of them...

Roy, Good question on interference. I'll fire up the HDTV today and crank all the lighting to see if I get some interference....never even crossed my mind. As for the colors it's just operator preference. I may buy a set of warm white's later but again it gets really tough to gauge the difference. The more of these you order the more the price comes down and there are some great deals out there. As for the voltage I got a wider range for the exact reason you identify--my battery charger will charge right up the the float - 14.4VDC and I certainly didn't want to fry em. $22 sounds pretty reasonable to me! Hey, thanks for serving our Great Air Force....I spent 25 yrs there as a pilot AV8'n!

I think you might have mixed up the before and after pics over the dining table, based on your description.
Thanks--just swapped it.
