Hello,I figured i would ask before i give it a try.I purchased a set of upper stable loads for a 2002 F350 dually back in the winter.I would like to install them since it is getting better weather outside.Can someone that has done this be kind enough to get my started.I have to remove the camper this weekend to replace on of front amber lights figured this would be the first step. I put on 2015 F 350 pry old rubber ones off bolt new on

It's easy. Pry off the old rubber pads, bolt new ones in thier place. A snort of wd40 makes taking off the old pads a bit easier.If you go through even half of a 6-pack you're taking too long.

Do you need to jack the truck up (floor jack) or just increase the air in the air bags to get the extra space, do you have to remove the wheels to get to them?Thanks

The fronts do not need any extra space, the backs need about 1- 1 1/2 inches of extra space. I just jack up the back of the truck under the trailer hitch until there is enough room. I take the back ones off after each trip as I think it rides too rough with no load.

Just finished doing this exact job on my Ram. As posted already, just put a good jack under the receiver in back and lift the back some. Tires DO NOT need to come off the ground.I'd get the old ones off before jacking up on the receiver though. New ones take 11/16 wrench/socket to install.Also, very important. I talked directly to Torklift last week about mine, as my rear ones make slight contact even with truck unloaded.Torklift said there was a new and an old style upper StableLoads. New style has flat bottom, while old style had a sloped bottom.Torklift said specifically DO NOT CUT THE NEW STYLE in order to gain clearance from the springs. So mine touch a little in the back position. Just driving slow around town I haven't noted too much difference in ride, although I suppose it is there.No wheel removal on mine. I did have to cut out some of the wheel well liner to get at the rear ones. On my previous vehicle (2011 Ford F 350 dually) it looked a lot more open and easier to get at than on my Ram. :B I had the dealer install those, so no exact help there. I used a 12 ton hydraulic bottle jack sitting on a stable foundation of lumber and bricks to raise it off the ground some to reach and raise through contact point on the receiver hitch.

I made spacers for my OEM pads and it has worked great. No slap with or without a load and the springs are always engaged with the camper on.
these are on our 2000 F350

I may pick up a set of the stock Dodge OEM pads and make a spacer for them. They bolt on like the Stable loads do. The rubber should be quieter/ If they work I'll sell these.

Mine did slap which was the reason I tried the softer Energy Suspension pads. These compressed too much before engaging the spring, so I added bags to level out better when towing heavy. Since the springs were never fully engaged I got bounce off the bags and went back to the StableLoads. With a little air in the bags, the SL's didn't slap.

My appear to slap when I hit even small bumps.makes a noise like a leaf bushing or something is loose. Anyone else's do this?

Save your OEM's in case you sell your truck. When I swapped mt SL's to my new truck,the studs on both fronts broke because of rust. Had enough stud left to reuse them. I made a call to Torklift and told them about it. They told me to send a picture of the studs to them, and then sent me not one but two complete new set's. Now that's customer service. I put some shrink wrap on the new ones to try and keep the salt off.

Mine came off clean and I took off my StableLoads before selling the truck and put the OEM pads back on.

Same as mine, and the style Torklift says to NOT CUT to fit.

I did this the other night. I also had to install the upper overload, since my truck didn;t have the camper option. No sway bar either.

Overloads from a junkyard.

New brackets from Ford.

The rear one slid in, It doesn't touch unless I load the camper with water. I had to pry the leaf down a bit to get the front one in. It helped to flex up the truck a little on a curb. Popped right in with a little pry bar action.

OK. I have just the plain old C clamps, no pivot, nothing special about them.
