Insulating Shower Skylight

Lots of great help. And even a E.C. owner that agrees with my wife. The sky light is double pane. Until we can sew or find a vinyl snap on cover, I am planning to stop at a Home Depot on Friday this week (145 miles away) in Twin Falls and see if we can find the black foam...it looks like the perfect fix for now.

The "skylight" in the EC is dual pane...the bath vent is not...

A small piece of velco in each corner holds the reflectix in place, make it easy to snap on/off as needed.

I too, did the foam plugs. Got mine at a Joann's Fabric store. On my truck camper, there are storage doors that open up into the truck bed. For those, I cut pieces of styrofoam that press into the opening.

You can buy styrofoam sheets at Home Depot, and, you don't have to buy a 4 X 8 sheet. They stock some smaller pieces.

I would be surprised if you don't have a double pane skylight in an EC they are a high end camper.We used to fit reflux foil into the one in our Citation in the winter.

We cut reflectix panels and velcro them in place...

I was out in 5* temps in December and the fix was so simple and I used it on all my windows and skylights which resulted in a warm dry tc. I bought a 4'x8' sheet of very dense 1" thick closed cell foam and cut it to fit over every window and fit into every skylight and vent opening. You could not feel any cold through the foam at all.

We did the same as BBFD did on their skylight.

We have insulated hatch covers on our Lance 855S, so I went out and measured them to see if they were similar size as yours. Although the skylights and vents don't match, the emergency exit window measures 18x28 and we have an insulated cover for it. One catch, it isn't a perfect rectangle, because they allow access to the handle . . . but it's pretty darn close.

If it would meet your needs, maybe you could get one from Lance. Just another possibility for you to consider.
