While foam board would work, I think Reflectix has insulating qualites besides reflecting heat. The air bubbles make good insulation, and helps to retain heat. My heated basement is insulated with Reflectix under the corroplast, and all my floor undersides also. Another thought, Reflectix is easy to work with, and waterproof.
