Thanks for the info, I will be looking into the MO Dept of Insurance this afternoon.
A few people have asked, and I didnt have it handy, but now I do - the language from my policy:
Exclusions:
We will not pay for:
2. Damage due and confined to wear and tear, freezing, or road damage to tires. This does not apply if the damage results from the total theft of your covered auto. This exclusion does not apply to Towing and Labor Costs Coverage.
So that is pretty clear - but according to USAA, all carriers have this language in their policies. I dont understand why USAA is the only using this exclusion? Perhaps because it was written for a different purpose, such as your radiator freezing and cracking because it was filled with water? I dont know.
