Intake manifold gasket

My Chevy is an 02 with a 6.0 and 4.10 gears. I don't drive her much any more just to tow the TT. well we are getting ready to finally go south and when I started the truck it shook alot. called my buddy the mechanic and he told me to bring it in and they found the intake manifold gasket was leaking, they replaced that, cleaned out the intake from carbon waste and changed oil. vacuumed out the truck and washed her. looks like and now drives like a new truck. I feel so good to know the truck is like new again. I only have 81K on it. had the tranny serviced last year, so am ready to go, just as soon as momma gets the TT loaded.
  • Had the same problem with my 2000 explorer it was showing a lean code in the mornings and runing rough while cold. Re placed intake gaskets and all good now it Used o rings .
  • I had a intake gasket replaced on a GM 60 degree V6. No more GM gaskets though. I used FelPro.
  • GMs are absolutely famous for bad intake manifold gaskets.
