If you buy a stickered $40K truck for $35K, and there is a $3K rebate making it $32K, you still pay tax on $35K. I hollered about that at Reineke Ford, Thayer Ford, and Steve Rogers Ford. I then went downtown to the state sales tax office in Govt Center, and they stated that the dealers are correct. Ohio looks at the rebates as a payment on the price, not a reduction on the price. They wouldn't listen to reason. P's me off.
Well **** I'm going to call Jim and see if I paid tax on the sticker or not. Will let you guys know. Have to say it's getting closer and closer to the tea party time again! :M
