Telsa X is rated 5,000# max tow, which seems about right for that suspension and there is more than enough torque. The range of course would be far better with the low profile tent trailer. Range is going to be an issue for a few year yet, other than for the enthusiasts. I suspect they will have to move to something better than trying to directly charge the battery in the longer term, that's fine for the city but on the long haul people will only put up with the wait while it is a novelty.
