No, it suggest that the truck with the lowest rear axles ratio will get to the top of the hill first!
Ford 4.30 (Thought that was the 450 ratio)
Ram 4.10 (great towing ratio)
DMax 3.73 (Not given a fair chance)
Test conducted by Ford.
This is the year that Ford better make a great showing, after their F450 got beat by a 3500 RAM. I see this as an ongoing battle.
All Dmax's have 3.73 without an option for any other ratio. Ford has been offering ratio lower than 4:10 for a number of years, but highway fuel mileage will be lower with those deeper ratio's. That is one of the things they do to up the tow rating of the 450/550's!
"Ford better make a great showing" People just keep buy Fords without learning that Ford is the worst about standing behind their product. So many seem to think the 6.7 is just great, then the problems set in for quite a few, and were is Ford? Hiding behind user bad fuel. Chevy and RAM get fueled at those same stations and we do not here them blaming the user!
Chris
Your friendly RAM dealer doesn't cover fuel system repairs when fuel contamination has been identified and in many cases I don't blame them... Trust me! :W
