Wouldn't frame twist occur when the trailer is not level? Seems that jacking a low corner would un-twist the frame, rather than cause it to twist more.
I think what's really going on is that when the trailer is sitting on the tires the frame is supported at the spring shackles. When supporting weight with the jacks the frame is supported at the jack point. Different support point equal different frame twists.
