Inverter install

I am in process of powering all my outlets in my 2010 Eagle Cap 1160 with the Powerwattz 1750 inverter. My question is, if I turn off my Progressive Dynamics 9245 at the 120V electrical panel, will this prevent the (PD9245) converter from running down the batteries? Or is there something else I need to do on the 12V side?

Sequence of operation will be as follows:

Manually select off on the circuit breakers for the Air conditioner, the microwave and the converter (batteries and inverter not big enough for these).

select the "inverter" position on the manual transfer switch.

    Be careful!
    Some of the breakers you maybe turning off could have other functional loads that you want.
    Recommend you go through the rig, make a sketch of what circuits feed what items.
    You need to look at the circuit breaker wiring. Some breakers may have more then one wire connected.

    This is correct and usually the case.

    I did the same thing with mine. I installed another breaker just for the converter in an unused circuit breaker slot. Look to see if you have one - that would allow you to isolate the converter when the inverter is in use.

    Also make sure you tie into the existing 120 VAC circuits so that the external AC power cord is NOT powered. It has male contacts which could pose a shock hazard.

    Thank you all. I will go through all the circuits to make sure that the converter is the only device on the circuit breaker.

    Your fridge is plugged into an outlet that is part of the receptacles circuit. Pull your fridge panel out side your rig and you will see this. I unplug this so no matter what my fridge will only run on propane.

    If you have an empty slot you can also add a separate breaker for the converter.
