First of all, there are the two batteries I have to maintain. Using an inverter a lot draws these down.
If your inverter needs are indeed so limited then why the need for two batteries? :h I've been using a single G27 to power my 1000 watt PSW inverter and for my limited needs it works quite well, especially if I load support it with my truck those few times each season I may want to power a heavier load such as a toaster. That battery is now 10 yrs old and has finally gone to battery heaven so this time around I'm replacing it with a G31 AGM. I have no need for anything more and being AGM there's really no "maintenance" required. If your inverter with such limited use is drawing your two batteries down so much then perhaps it's time for replacement. ;)
