Theoretically, no one really needs AC electricity in a camper. You can always make hot water over a fire or on your propane stove. Oh wait! Many of todays RV's are now using electric ranges. Oh well, you still have a camp fire.
I suppose everyone could go back to using ice in an cooler because propane refrigerators are being replaced by electric.
No one needs AC lights, we can all go back to Coleman white gas lanterns. And oh, airconditioning really is NOT needed. The inside of the camper will only get to 110 degrees baking in the sun without that air conditioning, or a good fan to at least move some air around. But hey, we're camping! We're not suppose to spend time inside the camper. And if you wait till about midnight, the camper may finally be cool enough to actually sleep... if you sleep butt naked.
Who needs hot water. Just put a bucket of water in the sun for a few hours and it will be warm enough you can take a cat bath.
When you run out of ice, it's time to think "European"... and just drink warm beer.
Nah, no one REALLY need AC power for anything. Actually ... no one REALLY even needs an RV.
