When you use an inverter the inverter itself without no load is a 10 -15 % loss in battery powerAre you estimating this? My inverter draws 1/2 amp when it isn't powering anything. I also have a Tripp Lite inverter that automatically shuts off when a load isn't present. My 1000W PSW inverter is rated at 96% efficiency.
