Exactly. A lot of folks have responded about things we need. Other than electricity for a CPAP, these are all things we want. No one should have to justify what they 'want', as long as it's legal and they can afford it. This applies to all things in life...not just RV's.
None of us need an RV, but we sure do want one...after that, anything that enhances the experience is our choice, period. If you don't want an inverter, don't install one. We all enjoy our outdoor experience differently.
