Is a 92 shadow cruiser a good buy?

The 860 model.

Seem to be in great shape for 2k? Fridge not working, all jacks
  • Ad in craigslist. They send you more outdated pics via email. Note grass on ground. GREEN!

I hope my warning to the TC community was not too rude.

  • Looked at it today. What a waste of time. Nada guide was $1350 average retail. Camper was touted as fantastic shape. Well worth past the nada guide. They were asking $2500.

Turned out be a piece of crap. Pics were years old,it was dirty outside. Caulking had never been replaced, and had 1/8 gaps along seams. Camper had no plug to connect to truck, just bare wire ends. No provision to check systems, no workable 110v to check systems, nor 12v deep cycle battery, No propane, nor water in tank, or hooked up. Still on a trailer for no reason. Not even ready to be loaded.

Second stinker I wasted a days time, and $100 diesel looking at.

No Decent TC's under $3k are in my area.NOLA that is.
  • The fridge can easily cost you $700 to have a new/rebuilt coil installed, up to $1200 for a new Fridge. It could be a different issue, but at that age, my bet is the coil. I had the coil replaced on my 1988 Bigfoot.

  • Depends on what you want to spend. What is your max budget. I owned a 1995 11.5 shadow cruiser. It was very good camper. Shadow cruiser are well made hard side camper. What is going on with the fridge. Low NADA with no options is 1100.00. could be a thermo coupler 30.00 dollars if you install it.
