Is it safe to use normal garden hose for water??

being that im new to this. I have purchased a 25 foot white water hose, but the outside water at my house is around 100 feet away. I have a brand new "normal" 100 foot garden hose that I paid around $...

Short term....probably not a problem but might want to ask yourself just how much lead you want to ingest :) I'm betting ALL o0f us have taken an occasional drink from a garden hose as children (and look how well society has turned out) :)
