Is it safe to use normal garden hose for water??

being that im new to this. I have purchased a 25 foot white water hose, but the outside water at my house is around 100 feet away. I have a brand new "normal" 100 foot garden hose that I paid around $...

Times two and once in a great while I pour a few ounces of bleach in the hose and then rinse it well,seems to work well! JMHO Jb
