I think some folks entering into the RV life buy the equipment in reverse order as they should. Unless you start with a one ton diesel the TV should be bought after the choice of trailer is made. Towing and handling are two different considerations. I had a cabin cruiser that my one tons could tow but never handle. It was a dangerous pull, thus the now F-350. I think the old saying to "never send a boy to do a man's work" holds true to trucks & trailers. Don't be afraid to move up to a "big" truck. The modern trucks drive like a car. I think, to handle the size trailer you may need to spend a lot of time in, you'll have to bite the bullet and get a larger tow vehicle. It will not only reduce mechanical breakdowns caused by overworked equipment but will be a whole lot safer for you and fellow travelers on the road.. IMO.. Good luck..
