Is my Ford Escape worthless for fullfilling my dream? :-(

You do know that 3500# tow rating is not for a high profile RV right. This is why manufactures need to start using the new tow standards. manufacture tests are with low profile trailers NOT RV's.

For this reason he should stay under the max when it comes to a RV.
