I always tell people. "It may tow 3500 pounds, but do you WANT to". Start at the very beginning with paper and pencil. Make a list of weights. Forget the trailer and start with all the stuff you will take.
Your weight
your dog, cat, gold fish
camera
make up
Clothing
flashlight
laptop
I could go on and on you get the idea.
My best guess if you are dead set on the escape is an extremely light tear drop or something. My parents went to Alaska for months in an escape. Slept in back so they were not eaten and had a tent thingy on the back. So get a small scale and mock up a pile of what you would take and list the weights. Weights of things like stoves, chairs, mats, coolers can all be found on line. And figure when you are all done it will weigh even more.I would think in the end you would want the total weight for everything including you to not exceed 1500 pounds. My advise, move up to a pick up type vehicle with a VERY light trailer. Ask people on here for even more advice. Dont do anything with out lots of research
