Is my Ford Escape worthless for fullfilling my dream? :-(

"I do understand GVWR, it stands for gross vehicle weight rating, and it means that is how much the vehicle can withstand, total. Which is why I was trying to find a trailer that weighs less than that."

Just to be sure that you understand, The GVWR on your Escape is what Ford is saying is that is the maximum weight you Escape can weigh. It does not include the trailer except the amount that the trailer tongue weight will add to your Escape.
