There's no reason that size trailer should be swaying. Mine is 38' overall with 4 slide-outs.
You need MORE tongue weight, not less. And after getting the tongue weight up, readjust the cams on the hitch, to make sure the indent on the bars is centered over the cam lobes. If this step is skipped, it'll always be squirrelly as the bars fight for which one gets to be seated. Kinda like driving on a badly rutted road when your wheel track doesn't match the rut width.
PS - Sometimes I have a 2nd trailer as well. Still absolutely stable.
