I didn't start it. I thought this thread turned into a BS thread and was just doing my part.
I've owned four Cummins Rams. My first was a '95 and I did the valve lash adjustments under my carport at 20k and every 40k there after. Easy job not much different than valve lash adjustments on a Panhead Harley.
Now if others would be so kind as to admit they were BSing or offer up proof of the claims...
The driver of the Ram was also FOS. The truck would not be lumbering along at low rpm if it were floored.
Thanks. I am actually a little relieved since I could not imagine a Ram dealer charging more than an hour or an hour and a half to adjust the valve lash. No BS, we own a Jetta gasser 2.0 that has had way more stuff fixed some under warranty and some I paid for to get to 130,000 miles than my Cummins at 130,000 miles. And guess what? The labor rate for gas or diesel is the same. Kind of makes we wonder where some of these guys get their gas is so much cheaper to own than diesel verbosity.
As far as the video, if they like diesel then maybe they should just say so instead of pretending to make a comparison to the diesel by saying stupid stuff like it is floored and surely this can't be all it has with a 4.40 rear end kind of thing. Where is their credibility?
I like the diesel but also understand that the 6.4 is quite a gas engine. Ram calls it a medium duty gas engine. That is kind of impressive in its own way. And since Ford dropped their V-10 gas engine, Ram should be able to pick up lots of gas engine only customers.
