Nah. I've owned both and maintenance wasn't much different. Not enough to break the deal either way. Both gas and diesel engines have come a long way in the past 20 years. Both should stand on their own merits. Not the imagined or fabricated pitfalls of the other.
Maybe sales were off or maybe Ram just figured that anybody that wants lots of power will go Cummins, but I could never understand why they dropped the powerful V-10 gas engine a few years ago. It was a performer and reliable.
