What works for someone with a small block and a 7K GVWR will or may not
work for someone with a different GVWR, different displacement, etc
Like which 'half ton' do you have? Half ton GVWR's range from +6K to +8K
Even where one tows or mostly tows makes a difference. Ditto the trailer's attributes
There are very few one size fits all in anything, IMHO
