Only if the engine RPM stays the same. The point is that for a given road speed, different gear ratios will make the engine run at different RPM's, some of which produce more power than others.
But the torque multiplication remains the same
Drop down in RPMs to say 50 ft/lbs at the input shaft...the axles will
have 50 ft/lbs x 3.73 = 186.5 ft/lbs and another ETC
This will follow the ICE's torque curve (ft/lbs vs RPM)
