Population in China has NOTHING to do with the amount of pollution it creates.
He was talking about our CO2 emissions and not the smog or air quality pollutants of vehicles that these emissions equipment are designed to reduce. We already got it straightened out.
In regards to smog and air quality pollutants that are bad for our health, we(the US) do not produce that much in comparison to other countries. However, he is correct that we do produce A LOT of CO2 green house gases per capita.
