I have lost count of the number of times the term "economic sense" has been used in this thread.
"Their" point is EV is *NOT* supposed to make economic sense! Saving the environment is supposed to be a sacrifice, to be done at any cost. You're supposed to wear it like a badge of honor, "Lookit how much money I spent to save the earth! I'm such a GOOD PERSON!"
Yes, we here all know the common sense side of things, practicality, cost, the environmental impact of manufacturing the batteries, etc... But none of that matters one bit. There's a dog with a bone here, and you know how difficult it is to get a bone away from a dog.
