Is the EV transformation of the market over hyped ?

I track my car expenses carefully. On average I spent about $2 per day since March of 2014 on routine maintenance to keep the warranty "intact". The warranty has ended now, so I'll be getting 'demand' work only now.

I started the new plan off with new tires, and a brake job. The tires will age out before they wear out. In 2024 I'll start a search for a good used or demonstrator Bev with a range of 400 kilometers or more. That, most likely, may be my last vehicle.
