If towing, have the exhaust routed out the side and prefer behind the rear wheels
Straight out the back will have the sound waves bounce off the trailer to drone
onto the TV's rear sheetmetal...unless you are traveling faster than the speed of
sound... :)
Also, the exhaust tip should be around 2" or more away from body sheetmetal, as
if it is too close...will likewise be caught by the body sheetmetal to drone
into the body
{edit}...forgot to mention that on my Sub 7.4L went to a Magnaflow
two chamber (dual in, dual out) 2.25" dia out the back to the passenger
side behind the rear tire (OEM location) and lost a bit off idle
Almost a stumble and found out the hard way that my 7.4L like a bit
of back pressure off idle...likes a bit of scavenging that was lost
going to the after market
Just a bit more up to red line (4.8K RPM), but not worth it with the
current 7.4L. After a rebuild, this will make a difference
Plus, lost was stealth mode...a bit of a rumble and getting louder as
the muffler is wearing out
