Is there a high end TT other than Airstream?

Of course, you are paying up for being different, too. It's essentially a custom one-off trailer, and you pay that price as far as I can tell.

Peel the onion back. Look inside the cabinets and see how they are welded to the frame, 8 inch frame/ tongue . ATC builds it all in house, the door is like a vault. Its made totally different than normal rv construction. No wood.

your requirements are similar to ours, we decided on a ram 2500 with CTD and an outdoors rv 24rks. it's a good combination, tows well and not too big for boon docking. a compromise between high dollar and good quality.

I wouldn't call airstream high end.. just because they are high dollar doesn't make them high end in my opinion. there are many other things to consider. airstream reminds me of harley's.. overpriced old technology that survives on "tradition" rather than technical prowess.

No 5vr Huh?
I would think a small 5vr would be just as good for you as a trailer and there seem to be more high quality 5vrs manufactured than high quality TT.

I agree. We've looked at them several times and I'd love to have a 30' Classic, but I don't see $140k worth of trailer there. Dealer said $100k would make it mine but I still couldn't see it. The $70k 28' International was no more impressive than anything else on the lot. Love the shell but other than that, just another TT.

I don't even like the shell on the Airstreams. They look cool when new but keeping them dent free is not easy. They don't work for dry camping in the west. There is no mud flap system made that gives 100% protection from rocks and gravel and other than main highways most of the mountain roads that lead to the best camping are dirt or gravel. I've seen a couple airstreams that wandered off pavement and the front ends looked like they went through a nasty hail storm.

Even though we take our rig to a lot of places most people would never consider and on many many twisty narrow roads, I would love to have something smaller. I'm a master carpenter for over 40 yrs but this motorhome always has something that needs to be fixed or serviced. Newmar's may be good quality but it's still built like **** as far as I'm concerned. Looking to simplify my life. A nice new truck and a simple solid trailer would help.

The roof is heavily sealed all metal. Hey, this is a huge box vs a streamlined design. I just find incredible value in it and very roomy. No slide and one less problem down the road.

The Airstream will never give you the independence of an on board genny and 100 Gallons of water. That's big motor home territory. Casinos, rest areas, remote camping. This is like a motor home w/o the rattles, depreciation etc,and still getting to ride in new safe luxury pick up with all the safety features. Something to consider..
