Thank you for suggesting the Lance 2385 and the Kodiak 242RESL. From photos and videos those both look like really nice floorplans with great rear windows. Those are about 28'. The Springdale 256 RLLWE is also about 28' but no slide. I do want to check those out in person.
I would like to try to stay closer to the 24-25' of the Creek Side 20FQ and the Passport 234QBWE, which appears similar to the Springdale 202QBWE. The Ascend A191RD is a little shorter at 23', but still no slide.
It seems like there should be something out there that is that same 23-25' but with the slide since slides are so common on other shorter trailers.
Related to this discussion, it's hard to avoid creeping up in length. When you get to 30', there are a lot of really nice rear living floorplans with great windows.
Our current trailer is 19'. That has come in handy a couple of times, including one time when we got the last spot available at Joshua Tree NP because we had a small trailer. However, I am justifying 24-25' in my mind because other threads have said you are usually OK in National Parks with something that length.
Is there that big of a difference towing a 24' vs 28' or 30' trailer if the tow vehicle is the right size?
Do you miss out on that many camping spots with a 24' vs 28' or 30' trailer?
