I'm merely suggesting that it's worth looking beyond the payload sticker sometimes. A Power Wagon is a regular heavy duty Ram with different wheels/tires and a different suspension. It still runs the same axles, same brakes, same chassis, etc. as a regular heavy duty Ram.
The rear axle is going to be the primary weight carrier for a trailer and it's only rated 300 lbs lower than a regular 2500 (6200 vs 6500). I don't know for sure but I suppose that's due to lower rated tires as much as anything.
