I was on my way to work early one morning when a kid ran into the back of my truck (he fell asleep after working all night). No one was injured but his insurance didn't want to pay me for missing a day of work when I had to limp my truck back to a body shop. I could've gone through my insurance but I've got a good understanding on how insurance companies work so I explained to his insurance company's adjuster that I wasn't claiming injuries "yet" and wasn't interested in finding an attorney "yet", and I just wanted to be reimbursed for money out of my pocket. That hint was enough to get them to do the right thing and I got paid for what I lost. I am by no means giving you legal advice or suggesting you do the same; just telling what worked for me. I hope the best for you but believe the insurance company won't pay you everything what replacement costs. I am glad you are not seriously hurt. Good luck
