Jim, may I suggest that you are being a little tough on Seldom here?? He just got creamed by a fool, with absolutely no way to defend himself. Seven accidents in a short time -- yes, one could say that your daughter needs to think about defensive driving. One accident in forty or more years? No way to prevent it.
Unfortunately, the same (or worse) could happen to any one of us tomorrow. It is part of the price of living in a complex world. To avoid the risk, we would have to stay home and sit on the couch and watch TV, instead of going camping. Life is a series of compromises, and this is one of them.
