WhizBang,
Heresy Alert In truth, a small motorhome is a more convenient and efficient way of getting about and unless you're towing something large regularly, a TC is not needed. Believe me I've thought about options a lot over the past few years. We don't own a boat and we're too old to stray very far from the pavement. We're considering either a small, very well insulated Oliver fiberglass TT (towable by our 2013 Toyota 4Runner) or a Sprinter based or B+ motorhome.
The motorhomes make the transition between sleep/eat and travel easy and the TT would allow us not to own a purpose-built vehicle.
With the health issues many of us encounter as we age, exiting a truck and entering a TC for pit-stops becomes a hassle. In our view, the TC doesn't meet our needs.
All that to say: I understand your dilemma.
