Jayco Hummingbird CCC---is this a deal breaker?

For a 2 week stay at the beach or lake, we are about 700 pounds over the dry weight. Still have 1500 pounds left. There's just the two of us and a small dog and we pack pretty light.
I like having the reserve capacity so we don't stress the camper.
