I don't believe you can blame trailer towing on your "blown tranny".
If the same engine and tranny from a caravan were in Dakota you wouldn't say this.
My 3.5l and tranny at 3500 max tow is the EXACT powertrain in a Highlander at 5000 max tow.....Engines and tranny's are not the biggest factor in trailer towing
