My "negative" post is due to a concern for new forum members or folks who have no towing experience overloading their trailers and tow vehicles. No one wants to spend the weekend in East Podunk waiting for transmission parts or trying to find tires for the overloaded camper.

A minivan is an especially poor choice for anything but a lightweight popup. Popups haven't been 1200 pounds for 30 years so forget towing one with "any V6" engined vehicle. Or straight 6 or H-6. :) Many, but not any. Yeah it was true in 1970...

Overkill always works. You don't need a semi-tractor but you do need a capable tow vehicle.

Wow..you are out of touch.....you sound like I am risking my families life towing my pup at 2300lbs with my V6....which btw has almost as much power as your BIG ford


and also 400-500 lbs of CC is fine for most of us. I have less than 400 now and wouldn't need more because of a hardside trailer. You may need your bread maker camping but most do not....So sick of some of the silly comments on here
