A minivan is an especially poor choice for anything but a lightweight popup. Popups haven't been 1200 pounds for 30 years so forget towing one with "any V6" engined vehicle. Or straight 6 or H-6
Hey don't tell my 4.3 V6 chevy truck that it can't tow my 3850 gvwr camper. It does a great job I can pull evey hill on I80 in pa at the speed limit and if keep around 58 or so I get up ever hill in drive with the engine purring along at 2600 rpm in the tach.
And I also caryy a full load of water and some times half a bed of fire wood.
