Jayco vs Forest River Salem vs Open Range
Looking to finally make the plunge and get our 1st RV and are torn between a few units and curious if anyone can shed some light as to quality or anything else.... Looking at these guys: Whitehawk...

Just bought a Forest River Wildwood which is basically the same as the Salem, and we're happy with it so far. Previously had a Forest River pup for 5 years and never had any problems. We looked at Jayco too, but liked the floor plan better on the one we bought.
Bottom line, these things are all thrown together, regardless of who makes it (even the really expensive units). Just the way it is. Jayco may do a little better in some ways, but personally I couldn't tell that much of a difference when comparing the two. I'd say just get the one you like the best.
