We went to a local dealer yesterday for their open house event as they sold the Open Range and Jayco lines.
We've narrowed it down to 2:
Jayco Eagle 306RKDS
Open Range LT272RLS
Had a good conversation with the owner who also had an Ecoboost F150 that he towed with (I don't think he was BS'ing me as his truck was parked din the lot) and gave a bunch of good advice that seems to jive with what I've been reading.
He recommended the Equalizer hitch with those trailers and the F150 - stating it's one of the better ones out there until you spend the big $$ on the Hensley and such.
We like them both but the high tongue weight of the Eagle has me concerned. But I'm thinking with the rear kitchen a lot of that will get removed when we start loading the kitchen. Do RK layouts usually have high tongue weights?
