BillB800si I agree many floor plans have the TV 90º including mine. Nevertheless I think those floorplans are poor. I was able to correct my floor plan by installing a swivel bracket for my TV.
Somehow us RV'ers are duped into believing 90º is OK vs. facing the TV directly. Again you would never set up a room at home without putting sofa directly in front of TV
You can find floorplans with the TV facing the sofa.
In the end it depends on how much TV you watch. For some TV watching is a priority however I understand many RV'ers could care less about the TV.
The Jayco has two sofas facing each other but not the TV? This give everyone a chance to have a kink in their neck when watching TV. LOL
The TV raises and lowers so I imagine it cannot be repositioned. I think the sofa TV layout could be designed better on a unit with that much space.
MY TV now can pull out and swivel to face sofa as shown below.
