Heavy duty trucks with gas engines turn into turds when you strap on a big trailer and hit a grade. It'll only be disappointing if your expectations are unrealistic.

It would be hard to pick a more challenging test than the Ike for a naturally aspirated engine. On the other hand, I have only done the Ike once in my nearly 60 years and I live at 600ft. I don't think that I really care how any engine does a high altitude. But I do like the way my EcoBoost performs at 600ft.
