Yes, your trailer will be heavier when loaded, and tongue weight more also. I think it may work for you, as you say you will take it easy, knowing you have a heavy load for your tow vehicle.
I agree with Mitch above, you have the car, and trailer, so I would give it a test go, before the actual trip. If you are comfortable with the test tow, it will likely work for YOU. Every ones towing experience may differ...one person's idea of a white knuckle tow, may be just fine with another driver, towing a similar rig. It's kind of like driving in rush hour traffic, when one person freaks out, and the next says no biggie.
Don't be afraid to use higher rpm with the V6, when needed, as they are designed to make their horse power that way.
