The Grand Cherokee is not a very capable tow vehicle. Also a 10-15 mile trip is not a good indicator of how it will be on a windy day, or on the interstate with passing semis blowing it around, or up hills, or in crappy weather...
The thing is, your Cherokee may well pull a boat, or a flat car hauler, or a utility trailer full of gravel with little trouble, but a travel trailer has terrible aerodynamics and a LOT of tongue weight compared to anything else. That's why most end up with a truck.
It may work, but it will be marginal as far as handling and ride.
