@BionicMan you mentioned, Looks like you bought the 1700BH model, which only has a GVWR of 3700 pounds....like I said I'm new at this, but I thought the weight of the trailer was 3010- but you stated 3700 as my GVWR. can you please explain the discrepancy? And I see that you are in Co too!! Yay! I'd love to pick your brain. What do you drive and tow?
The 3010 weight on the website is the "unloaded weight" of the trailer. Which really doesn't mean much. The GVWR is Gross Vehicle Weight Rating - which means it is the maximum that the trailer should weigh going down the road. That is what the lowest limit of the frame/axles/wheels/tires is. Your weight going down the road should be somewhere between that 3100 - 3700 range, depending on how much you load into the trailer and if you are towing with your tanks full or empty.
For what I drive/tow, my RV is a 32' fifth wheel, towed by a 2012 RAM 3500 DRW. Also have a couple boats that weigh between 2500 - 7000 pounds.
My GC is mainly a daily driver, but I will use it to tow my fishing boat, although I would be comfortable towing my wake boat with my GC for shorter distances.
