Yup...this thread confirms that newbies will continue to mislead by the fake half ton legends that there is no difference to the higher class TV’s...
To the newbies...use the GVWR and RGAWR....the below quote post indicative of the use of GVWR and RGAWR in reference to a half ton...all the while referencing “half ton”...but the majority of half ton’s do NOT have these ratings...

Nothing wrong with a half ton....just choose one of the many, many versions that has the ratings for YOUR situation

Nope. 2018 F150 HDPP FAWR is 3750, RAWR is 4800, GVWR 7850. Yes, semi-floating but I don't care. When I load mine up to my full kit, I have 200 lbs left on RAWR and 150 left on GVWR. It tows awesome, way more comfortable than my previous 3/4s did. No shortage of power, and stable as a rock. Right tool for the right job. If you haven't towed with a Gen2 HDPP you have no idea what you are talking about.
