What has me wondering is how to tighten/loosen the T-handles on the front of a travel trailer with the A-frame in the way. The stab. jacks are set back from the A-frame a bit. I can see how it is easy on a fifth wheel because you can fully access them. It seems to me that there is no reason why you just can't put the 4 cross-members at the rear and then the front two would only be in the fore/aft direction and easily accessible.
I know about the T-handle extension tool but am not sure if this would be easy to use when reaching under the A-frame? Not getting younger and am trying to make things easier to do....
I have tried bottle jacks under the frame just ahead of the wheels and they help a lot. As Lynnmor says, we have an abnormally flexible frame which makes the bounce/movement sensation worse. We are expecting resolution to our frame issues in the not too distant future now.
I was thinking of replacing the Lippert elec. stab. jacks with ones made by Ultra-Fab. U-F claims theirs eliminates any movement but the design is pretty much the same as the Lippert one so I have decided against the U-F ones. The U-F ones would be over $1K to install and they *could* end up with the same movement as the Lippert ones.
